Day 4

Encyclical Formation 2

“The mystery of the Incarnation opens the source of divine life.”

Dominum Et Vivificantem (DV), 52

“In the mystery of the Incarnation the work of the Spirit “who gives life” reaches its highest point. It is not possible to give life, which in its fullest form is in God, except by making it the life of a Man, as Christ is in his humanity endowed with personhood by the Word in the hypostatic union. And at the same time, with the mystery of the Incarnation there opens in a new way the source of this divine life in the history of mankind: the Holy Spirit.”

Formation Reflection

What connections are you beginning to see? Jesus said, “I am the Way, The Truth, and the Life” (Jn 14:6). The life that God desires for you is ‘in its fullest form’ in Him. Through Christ and in the Holy Spirit, we are lead into this ‘fullest form’. Discipleship requires us to live in the Spirit!

Pray:  Come Holy Spirit. Give me ‘new life’ today.
