Session 3

Encountering Jesus

“Remain In Me”

Parish Life Discussion

Pope Francis in Evangelii Gaudium explains parishes are places where the ‘thirsty come to drink’ (EG 28). There are so many people, including practicing Catholics, who thirst for truth, meaning, and healing in their lives. Parishes should be a sanctuary where the thirsty can encounter the “living water” (Jn 10:4) of Jesus Christ, so they can experience the ‘kingdom of God’ in their lives. Take some time at your table to discuss how the following parish evangelization initiatives can lead people into a deeper encounter of Jesus Christ. Use the following questions to help guide your conversation.
