To whom it may concern,
It has been my pleasure working with Darrin to help bring the Be My Witness program to St. Mary-Stony Hill Church. What began for us as a mission to bring our parishioners into a closer relationship with Jesus has developed into an even better outcome. In a world where we have sometimes had to think twice about saying “Merry Christmas” to a stranger, we’re now becoming comfortable talking about our Lord Jesus Christ in our homes and in our communities. It doesn’t get much better than that!
Darrin has done an excellent job making our small faith group experience with Be My Witness a reality for our parish. From training our facilitators, to organizing sign up events, to creating welcoming videos and inviting visuals for the program, Darrin has considered all the details. We are currently embarking on our second round of the program and I fully expect this one to be as successful as the first.
It is pretty awesome to see the joy in Darrin when he’s speaking about Jesus — complete joy, from his facial expressions, through his gestures and even the tone of his voice. It’s refreshing. It’s also empowering and contagious!
On another note, Darrin frequently brings a different perspective to the conversation and I enjoy talking with him. He has a way of making you look at a topic in a completely different manner. It’s through those “a-ha” moments, those times when he’s pushed me to look at an issue through a different lens, that have been some of the most personally enlightening moments for me.
I am delighted to write this recommendation for Darrin. The difficult part has been deciding which aspects to speak to. Darrin brings a lot to the table and is a wonderful addition to our parish family!
